I’m Andrea.
I’m a Luiseño (Soboba) beading newbie who wants to share the designs I create so I can keep making new designs. Tulóvat is the Luiseño word for California Peony (my favorite native flower). Here’s a list of facts about me:
I started beading in 2021 to make presents for my family. I’ve made it my mission to make sure the kids in my family are connected to their community as best I can— it’s my responsibility to be a good example. Beading, working with CA native plants, slowly learning Chamteela, and beading are the ways I’ve been making that happen.
My family is not just Luiseño; my mom’s family is also Konkow from Round Valley in Northern California + Filipino & Mexican. My great-grandmother was taken from her family and sent to Sherman Indian School when she was a child. She spent the rest of her life in Riverside. My dad is European-American.
I’ve been an astrology girl since I was young. I’m an Aries sun/Scorpio moon/Gemini rising. My home is very spicy and full of love.
I grew up in San Jacinto. I left for college in San Diego and spent about a decade away before moving to Temecula.
My main goal is to share my work with as many people as possible; my pricing reflects this.
Don’t be a stranger, find me on IG and say hi!
well hello there….
